Leadership Consulting
Opportunities for managers and leaders
The aim of leadership consulting is to develop solutions to a specific problem in a management context. Unlike coaching, in which the coachees generally choose a process-oriented approach aimed at helping them to help themselves, leadership consulting is more of a guided analysis and evaluation of an issue from management practice, conducted from a professional perspective. Here, the consultant takes on more of a subject expert role, providing the manager/leader with practical direction and tips.
Form
As is the case with coaching, leadership consulting sessions may employ a range of methods. Consulting is provided by an experienced leadership and management specialist from the Human Resources Department.
Duration
Leadership consulting sessions are generally one-off meetings lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. Up to two further sessions may be arranged if necessary.
Costs
Leadership consulting is free of charge for managers and leaders at UZH.
