The University has many cafeterias and café-bars which are also open to employees. There are usually three different prices – the price for students, the price for employees and the price for members of the public.

Most employees are entitled to a Lunch-Check Card which can be used as payment in over 8,000 participating restaurants all over Switzerland. The University of Zurich makes a contribution to employees' lunch costs via the Lunch-Check card.

The Academic Sports Association Zurich (ASVZ) offers a range of exciting sports, providing the perfect way to unwind from work (membership currently costs CHF 300 per year, free for apprentices). The ASVZ quiet room in the University tower (city campus) provides space for rest and relaxation.

Parking, Mobility Car-Sharing and Car Rental

Employees who need to use a car to get to work can request a parking permit. Parking spaces may be rented on a short-term basis or indefinitely (longer than three months). Parking spaces are allocated according to a list of priorities and, depending on the location, there may be a waiting list.
